Today, November 7th, 2016, we are excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Mowery & Schoenfeld. Over the past 20 years, we have become a leading local firm in the Chicago market.
We have been privileged to have Matt Schoenfeld and Tom Keenan with us from the beginning.
We have also been fortunate to work with some amazing clients. We have always believed that the best way to have a successful firm is to have successful clients, and we have been blessed in that regard. We have seen our clients grow and succeed and overcome challenges. We feel honored to have been a part of our clients' success as they have built their businesses, and in some cases sold it and in other instances transitioned through a succession plan. We have seen that the most successful companies are the ones that are always seeking to improve and are never satisfied with the status quo. These clients are constantly reaching outside of their companies and are participating in industry and leadership groups, bringing innovative and exciting ideas back to their management teams. We have learned from our clients and applied lessons such as this at Mowery & Schoenfeld, continually pushing ourselves to learn and improve and build a better firm.
When we started 20 years ago, we had a vision of being a successful local firm. One of the first things that we did was to start acting like the firm that we wanted to be, even though there was only a handful of us. This mindset led us to develop our college recruiting program. We started out modestly, but we were fortunate to hire Anthony Cullotta, Diana Zirkelbach, and Michael Kidd out of college, and they have come up through the ranks to become the next generation of partners at the Firm. Additionally, we have added Michael Deering, Emo Dellanina, and Gary Hart to our partner ranks, making us 10 partners and 64 total employees strong. Most importantly, we have recognized that our employees are our most important asset. Because of the value and emphasis we place on our employees and their morale, we have been honored as one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work For by Accounting Today for the last six sequential years.
We are grateful for the opportunity to build our Firm, and thank our clients, our friends, and our employees. We are looking forward to the next 20 years - the best is yet to come!
