I recently attended the Geneva Group International (GGI) European Conference in Brussels, Belgium where I had the opportunity to interact with accountants and attorneys from across Europe and North America. Our membership in GGI gives us the opportunity to develop relationships with qualified professionals that will be readily available to meet our clients' needs when they are seeking to expand internationally.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with Bob Frank, managing partner of Frank & Company, on a presentation, "Taxes in Trump's America," made to the International Tax Group. The participants were anxious to discuss the impact of the change in the US administration on US tax policy and its effects on cross-border transactions.
I was also invited to make a second presentation on "Making Your Firm a Great Place to Work," which was drawn from our experiences in building a Firm culture that has been recognized across the US.
After a great trip, it was nice to get home.
