Doug DeLara

With over a decade of experience in assurance, Doug DeLara serves as an Audit Senior Manager at Mowery & Schoenfeld, bringing extensive expertise and a deep commitment to client service. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Doug holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting.

Since 2012, he has provided high-quality assurance services across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, agriculture, and not-for-profits. Doug also has significant experience with employee benefit plan audits. His comprehensive knowledge encompasses complex areas such as mergers and acquisitions, share-based compensation, debt financing and refinancing, leases, revenue recognition, and involuntary conversion.

How did you choose accounting?

Doug’s journey into accounting began on the recommendation of his grandfather, who suggested an accounting class in high school. This early exposure led to a passion for the field and a career dedicated to providing exceptional service.

What do you do in your free time? (family, interests, hobbies)

Outside of their professional life, he enjoys embarking on adventures with their children, cherishing the moments of joy these experiences bring. His hidden talent lies in mastering DIY projects, showcasing their practical skills and creativity.
